Project details
PeopleSoft Global Payroll (GP) introduced a new way of running payroll systems. IT Bites identified that adoption of the system by payroll departments would only be successful if they were fully trained, and had top class supporting documentation at their finger tips.
The solution we came up with was a set of user guides, we called them TaGs – short for Transaction Guides. A library of over 150 TaGs was created detailing just about every transaction a payroll department could undertake using GP.
From this library, we were then able to incorporate the TaGs into training courses that could be delivered to users.
The entire kit comprised base line templates that could be easily adapted by customers – either we would do it for them, or we would show them how to. We demonstrated that what would take months for a customer to develop from scratch themselves, could be up and ready in about 4 weeks at most.
