Background

It was recognised at an early stage that a significant success factor to the launch of peoplelinks newly created Service Centre would be the effectiveness of training delivered, not only in the “to be” business process, but importantly in the technology to be utilised.

IT Bites were engaged by Unilever to formulate a training programme for the Service Centre and to deliver it to the team members being recruited.

 Deliverables

The deliverables included 9 modules covering a wide variety of topics including general PC skills, understanding the Unilever organisation as well as specific PeopleSoft modules such as Benefits Administration; Payroll; and Administer Workforce (Employee Data). 

Each module was delivered to an agreed style and included a training participant user guide, trainers guide and participant worksheets. 

Delivery

The delivery of the training focused on the organisation of a number of workshops which the applicable team members attended in an agreed order.  Thereby, the learnings were spread over several weeks and were co-ordinated with other training being received such as business process.
