The Unilever project was established with a fairly traditional structure. This ensured that the appropriate governance was in place.

IT Bites also believes that any successful project is a marriage of Business, User and Supplier needs. Whilst all are aiming for the same goal - the successful delivery of the project - they each have their own drivers. For example, the Business may seek improved productivity; the Users a more efficient way of working; the suppliers a profit. IT Bites encouraged Unilever to embrace this philosophy and this meant, for example, that PeopleSoft and our IT suppliers were both represented on the Project Board, where they could freely express views and influence the way the project progressed.
