Initiation

By Christmas 2000, we needed to understand our project and plan it fully. The Initiation Stage aimed to:

bulletUnderstand all of Unilevers payrolls
bulletDetermine the solution
bulletHave a detailed project definition and plan

By 1st November 2000, we had achieved the:

bulletcreation of a database documenting over 1,500 pay elements in use across the 44 payrolls, along with details of reports, interfaces etc which would form the basis of our requirements
bulletselection of PeopleSoft8 HRMS and Global Payroll as our solution and appointment of PeopleSoft Consulting as our implementation partner
bulletfull definition of our project with a detailed 'Project Initiation Document' (PID)
