Background

An International Refugee Organisation has an ambitious project to replace major business processes with PeopleSoft8. Financials and supply chain went live at the start of 2004 and attention has now switched to HCM and Global Payroll.

Working through its sister company, Illuceo Ltd, IT Bites won a tender to manage and undertake Project Initiation.

Deliverables

1. A Requirements Specification describing all HR and Payroll processes to be considered

2. A Request For Proposal (RFP) for the appointment of an Integration Partner

Delivery

The client was persuaded to the value of clearly defining the requirements of the work. To this end, a 'Mission Charter' was agreed which clearly set out all of the work to be undertaken.

Working as a team of 3, and in conjunction with client staff appointed to the project, exhaustive interviews and research was undertaken to define the Project Scope; the Requirements of the HR department; the Requirements of the Payroll Department.

We also created a detailed RFP that set out Integration Partner responsibilities in both the Design and subsequent Deployment stages of the project.

In all the team produced over 700 pages of high quality documentation to be used as the basis of the project and the work was completed in 5 weeks, a testament to the experience we brought to the client.
