The UNHCR
required a partner to manage and undertake the Initiation stage of a major
PeopleSoft HCM & Global Payroll implementation on which it is about to
embark. Activity centred around requirements gathering and establishing
project definition, culminating in creation of an RFP for selection of its
main integration partner. Project based in Geneva. |

Appointed by Spirit to bring
real-life Global payroll deployment experience to the final cut over phase
of their project. This phase was experiencing significant delays and a lack
of confidence in the ability to go live. The role involved re-aligning the
project scope and plan for outstanding work, and co-ordinating the various
internal and external teams. In simplifying and re-structuring the project,
Steve enabled Spirit Group to more readily understand the position they had
reached within the project, and they came to the conclusion that project
objectives no longer mapped to business drivers, and the project was
cancelled. Steve was complimented on the clarity he had brought to this
difficult decision. |

The UNDP are implementing PeopleSoft
8.8 Global Payroll and IT Bites were retained to assist in the creation of a
new Payroll Office in Copenhagen. |

The pack has been a huge success and to date has successfully been

opportunity was taken to develop IT Bites internal business. This included
development of
products in the form of PeopleSoft templates which could be used to
improve the Project and End User experience in implementing Global Payroll. |

In July 2000, Unilever decided to
centralise 40+ payrolls into a single service.

In January 1999, USF embarked on the implementation of a new Pensions
Administration System, Profund, to replace their legacy system. On the
recommendation of the National Finance Director from his previous project,
Steve was initially brought in to assist on the implementation of the
Payroll Module. He was then extended to participate in the full system
implementation and provided valuable, and innovative, help to the project
team, allowing them to go live despite the closeness of the Y2K milestone. |

Government processes.
ICL had taken over the running of
East Herts District Council IT services and Steve was immediately appointed
to lead the transferring development team. He was also involved in the
running of new services for additional clients. |

Working in the IT Department, Steve
was promoted to Systems Analyst within 6 months of appointment as a Cobol
programmer. By the end of employment, Steve had led the Council through some
major implementations, including Community Charge and Council Tax, which
affected virtually every aspect of the Councils business. In addition,
numerous 3rd party and in-house implementations occurred.
His major achievement was to, single
handed, design and implement a replacement of the Councils ageing payroll
system, with an online, fully integrated system which successfully went live
in 1993. |
